First time to selec your loupes?
When purchasing a new loupe, it is important that you choose the correct magnification and working distance in order to reduce eye strain, shoulder and neck tension.

Beside magnification and working distance, there are others aspect to consider when choosing a new loupe such as field of view, depth of field, and weight of the loupes

Magnification:
The dental and surgical magnification is very from 2.5X to 6.0X. Our recommendation for your first purchasing is to choose the 2.5X, so it would provide the wider field of view for more comfortable view.

Working distance:
The working distance is the distance between your eyes, and the patient’s mouth. It varies from 14 inches to 22 inches and depends on the human height.
If your height is less than 5ft 7in you should pick the working distance 17"/420mm
If your height is more than 5ft 7in you should pick the working distance 18.5"/460mm

Field Of View:
The field of view is the area while looking through the loupes. It should cover the entire patient mouth.
The field of view is from 4inches to 6inches, the larger is better.

The Weight of the Loupes:
Weight is an important factor when choosing a new loupe, If the loupe is to be used for longer periods of time.

    *Prismatic multi-focus series: MF4.0x (4.0x~ 5.0x), MF5.0x 5.0x~6.0x, MF6.0x (6.0x~7.0x)

1. TAOS OPTICS CO., LTD. warrants the loupes to be delivered on any order will be the kind designated or specified.
2. We further warrant all loupes to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service for a period of ONE year from the date of delivery.
