Ghana Bolga Baskets are woven by the people of Bolga in northern Ghana .Weavers use the local elephant grass that grows along river banks .
the straw grass is sun dried,split,twisted,dyed and then woven using traditional skills passed down from generations.
The baskets come many different shapes,sizes and styles as shown in the photos here.
Our 25 women member groups numbering about 700 weave 50,000 baskets a year.
We pack 15-25 pieces in polythene sacks but also pack according to buyers specifications.
