Using readily available, low-cost Cat5e/6 cabling, the kit provides a cost-effective solution for connecting serial devices over a longer distance. Simply plug the cabling into the adapter’s RJ45 ports and connect the DB9 ports cables coming from your devices to establish a connection. The finished connection results in a null wiring configuration: 1+6 - 4, 2-3, 3-2, 4 - 1+6, 5-5, 7-8, 8-7, with full handshake capability.
