WASHING METHODS
Knitted Shawls
1. Prepare the scarf for washing by gently picking off any loose items, such as food or dirt.
2. Fill a small tub or sink with warm water and a gentle detergent soap, then put the scarf in the water. Allow it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Gently rub the material together after soaking to remove the ground-in dirt and grime.
4. Remove the scarf from the water and lay it flat on one side of a clean white towel. Press down on the scarf until all the dirty water has been removed.
5. Run the scarf under cool water until the water drips clear. Place it flat on the dry side of the white towel using the same pressing motion to remove the excess water.
6. Lay the scarf on a dry, clean towel after all the water is removed and allow to air dry.
Cashmere Shawls
1. Hand wash your cashmere scarf in lukewarm water using mild detergent, baby shampoo or soap flakes.
2. Soak the scarf in lukewarm water for five minutes.
3. Rinse the scarf in lukewarm water several times. Do not wring the scarf.
4. Roll the scarf up in a towel to remove excess water.
5. Lay the scarf flat on a fresh towel to dry. Do not hang the scarf to dry.
